i too dissolve.

Today is a reflection of the turmoil in me

The rain pounding relentlessly

From the safety of my balcony I’m looking out

To see lightening penetrate the day with clout

Swollen clouds hang heavy in the sky

Their sadness palpable as they cry

Like pregnant bellies they hover so low

My fingertips graze them to and fro

With the clouds I burst, I weep for this day

Releasing the tears, the angst, the dismay

The clouds dissipate as the storm runs out of rain

I, too, dissolve; softly, quietly, gently I wane
